Home / 2019a Germany and Czech Republic / Part 2 Czech Republic

This album covers the second half of a genealogy-inspired trip we made to Germany and the Czech Republic in May of 2019, visiting the towns from which some of Connie's maternal ancestors had emigrated in the 19th century. Connie's Czech ancestors came from South Bohemia (south of Prague). We stayed in Prague and visited her ancestral villages from there. This album is a bit longer than normal, but encompasses two special interest items: (1) lots of pictures from rural South Bohemia that might be interesting to anyone whose family emigrated from Bohemia/Czechoslovakia, and (2) for those interested in medieval art, lots of pictures from the Convent of St. Agnes of Bohemia, a marvelous and much under-visited museum.
